The Challenge
Nando Alvarez-Perez (Artist) was looking for a framing solution that was cost-effective and easy to use. Traditional framing can be a difficult process when done by yourself without the proper equipment, and can be very expensive if done via a third party.
The Solution
Framing Tech provided a lightweight, modular system that is re-usable, and can be reconfigured for different sized photographs. Framing tech provided clearly defined kits that would fit the dimensions provided by our customer. Additionally, the product is re-usable for future gallery showings.
"Anyone who has done traditional framing knows what a nightmare it can be to do yourself without the proper equipment and how expensive it can be to go to a framer. I've been looking for a lightweight, modular, reconfigurable, and reusable system of frames for my photographs; it was essential that I could construct and install these frames myself as well as have clear designs for potential collectors to follow. Working with Framing Tech I was able to coordinate with my photo mounter on proper sizing of the frames as well as avoid going to a costly third party for machining. When it came time to install the work, everything was in perfect order and separated into clearly defined kits, there were no unpleasant surprises. I'm really looking forward to seeing what else I can do with this material in the future."
